Ozone Therapy

Ozone therapy is the procedure of giving ozone gas to the body by various methods in order to heal a condition or wound. It is a very old treatment method. Ozone application is a complementary method carried out in centres licensed by the Ministry of Health, in patients considered suitable following a physician's assessment. Its effect may vary according to individual characteristics; no particular outcome can be guaranteed for every patient.

Ozone can be given to the body via different methods. The most commonly used method is by taking the blood of the individual, mixing it with a certain dose of ozone, and giving it to them again. This is called the major method. In the minor method, which is another method, the blood taken from the person is mixed with ozone at a determined dose and injected into the muscle. There are also different methods in which ozone is injected directly under the skin or into the joint with a needle. The specialist physician decides which method will be applied according to the treatment to be performed.
